Acquire.com is a legitimate marketplace, focused on SaaS and startup acquisitions rather than ecommerce. Sellers pay monthly listing fees plus a closing fee of 6 to 8 percent by deal size; buyers use paid plans for full access. It calls its listings vetted without publishing what that check reads. For a Shopify store, it is a possible venue, not the native one.

The Fees, from Their Own Pages
Their seller pricing lists monthly listing fees of 25, 50, or 100 dollars by asking-price band, and closing fees of 8 percent under 250,000 dollars, 7 percent to a million, and 6 percent above. Clear, published, and fair to compare against. Buyer-side access runs on paid plans, which is part of how the marketplace filters intent.
What Vetted Means There
Their marketplace advertises vetted businesses and live metrics, and their pages say what the buyer side gets checked - verified buyer funds - without publishing how a seller's revenue is checked. Read that as a filter on who is serious, not as reconciled books. The model is built around SaaS metrics anyway: recurring revenue, churn, codebases. An ecommerce store's proof lives in order ledgers, ad spend, and refund rates, which is a different problem.
Where It Fits for an Ecom Deal
If you are selling a SaaS product, it is a natural home. For a Shopify store, the buyer pool and the vetting are both tuned to a different asset class. Use a venue whose verification reads the thing your business actually runs on, and whichever venue you buy on, keep the escrow rule absolute.

Terms Used
Buyer Premium
Buyer Premium is a fee a marketplace charges for extra access, separate from any commission the seller pays on the same deal.
Closing
Closing is the point in an online-store sale where the deal legally completes: the asset purchase agreement is signed, every asset has moved, and escrow releases the price to the seller.
